The Codified Sequence of « Ngọc-Trản » (玉 琖) is considered by Võ-Thuật Cổ-Truyền Bình-Định as the one most representative. There's a Codified Sequence that ancient Dynasties had choosed as a Codified Sequence for Martial Arts Men participating to « Martial Baccalaureate » in Military Examinations of Local Recruitment, organized during the years from Astrological Signs of Mouse, of Horse, of Cat and of Cock, before to be permitted to participate to Military Examinations of Great Recruitment organized at the Imperial Capital during lthe years from Astrological Signs of Dragon, of Dog, of Buffalo and of Goat.
By habit, the most of people use the two first words of the Coded Poem fist line « Ngọc-Trản Ngân Đài, Tả Hữu Tấn Khai Thập-Tự » for giving to Codified Sequence the name of « Ngọc-Trản ».
In truth, the name of this Codified Sequence « Ngọc-Trản 玉 琖 » is « Mộc-Thiều 沐 髫 ».

The Codified Sequence of « Ngọc-Trản » (玉 琖) - whom the true name is « Mộc-Thiều » (沐 髫) - from BÌNH-Định SA-LONG-CƯƠNG School System owns a Coded Poem including 24 verses (134 words). It has been passed down to our Grand-Master Trương Thanh Đăng by the celebrious Grand-Master Trương-Trạch.
We need to underline here that, in nowadays, the Codified Sequence of « Ngọc-Trản » from the SA-LONG-CƯƠNG School System in the world don't get a correct passing down in accordance with each Coded Verse, because of the mix and addition of other techniques arbitrarily. For example :
- The technique « Ngọc-Trản Ngân-Đài » was assimilated by the technique « Khủng-Long Quyền » from Shaolin Martial Arts ;
- The technique « Tả-Hữu Tấn-Khai Thập-Tự » was affected by addition of useless techniques on the pegagogic plan ;
- Etc...
It is an infinitely regretable thing for the international BỊNH-ĐỊNH SA-LONG-CƯƠNG School System in nowadays because this Codified Sequence of « Ngọc-Trản » (玉 琖) is in decline.
And then, for the SA-LONG-CƯƠNG School System, although this Bare Hand Fighting Art Codified Sequence of « The Jade Cup - Ngọc-Trản » (玉 琖) was choosed by old Dynasties as the one for taking the exam of «Martial Baccalaureate» - Tú-Tài Võ » in Military Examinations of Local Recruitment » (Thi-Tuyển Sở-Cử), it is not currently considered for all that as a representative Codified Sequence of the School System.
To thell the truth, the various Lunges in this Codified Sequence of « Mộc-Thiều » (沐 髫) which is erronemously called « Ngọc-Trản » (玉 琖), mobilize totally techniques of Moving, Hands, Feet and Body, that why they demand Martial Student a solid mastery of foundamental basis in Martial Arts in order to doing correctly this Codified Sequence from high level.
There is a marvellous Codified Sequence of Bare Hands Fighting Art having an marvelous pedagogic value and a frighteningly effectiveness, inherent in Martial Arts Lineage from the late Grand-Master TRƯƠNG-Đức-Giai whom illustrious heir was the Grand-Master TRƯƠNG-Trạch, having handed down to our Grand-Master TRƯƠNG Thanh Đăng.
